Level 4

Level 4 lessons are teaching cursive style, or extension with print where personal style and different formats of writing are explored along with some interesting aspects of grammar and spelling. The size of the writing and lines are quite small- suitable for Year 5 or 6 students.

You will notice that the books are given titles in grades:

• Grade 3 when cursive is introduced to students in the USA, is Year 4 in New Zealand when the students are typically 8 years old.
• Grade 4 is Year 5 when the students are typically 9 
• Grade 5 is Year 6 when the students are typically 10.
